It's been some time since we last saw Gregory Smith on the small and big screen but now he's back with several movie projects and a TV pilot to make up for lost time. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 26-year-old actor, best known as Ephram Brown on the TV series Everwood, has booked roles in Dream House, Whirligig and Conception.

Dream House, which is directed by Jim Sheriden, is a psychological thriller starring Daniel Craig and Naomi Watts. It's about a family who settles into a picture perfect house, which turns into a crime scene. The movie, in which Smith plays a punk rocker fixated on the murder case, is presently filming in Toronto and will be distributed by Universal Studios.

Conception, on the other hand, revolves around nine couples who deal with sex, love and pregnancy. In the film written and directed by Josh Stolberg, the former Everwood actor has an affair with a divorced woman in the form of Julie Bowen (Modern Family). Production for Conception is set to start this month in Los Angeles.

As for Whirligig, the Chaz Thorne-directed indie features Smith as a young man who returns home to live under his parents' roof when he hits an all-time low. Unexpectedly, he finds solace with his married neighbor and stumbles on some family secrets.

Meanwhile, Smith can also be seen on the upcoming TV series Copper, a police drama that revolves around five young rookie cops who fight, work and even sleep together. Copper, which will air on ABC, marks Smith's first major TV project following Everwood, which ended its run in 2006.
