Spoiler Alert: Eureka's Second Season Ends Tonight
Tuesday, October 02, 2007

'Eureka"Eureka's 13-installment sophomore season culminates tonight, when the hit SCI-FI show airs its much anticipated finale at 9.  The second season finale is entitled “A Night at Global Dynamics” picks up where the series left off last week with “All That Glitters.”  Read on for spoilers on the season-ending episode.

Just ahead of the show's second season conclusion, SCI-FI announced last week that the series has been picked up for a third edition.

In tonight's season ender, Sherriff Jack Carter and Eureka's resident whiz, Nathan Stark, must temporarily set aside their personal and professional dislike of each other if they hope to save the town and Allison's son from certain doom at the hands of a deadly bacteria.  Here are a few spoilers for the climactic episode which airs tonight on the SCI-FI Channel.

The bacteria, which had begun deconstructing metallic objects in the special scientific town of Eureka, has morphed into something more potent and able to deconstruct organic matter.  Now, even the residents are in grave danger from the new power of the deadly microorganisms.  Global Dynamics is forced to go on lockdown to help contain the microbes that are now airborne.  Several of Eureka's key citizens are trapped inside the facility so Henry enlists the help of a former Eureka resident.

The season finale “A Night at Global Dynamics” is written by Jaime Paglia and directed by Michael Lange.

In other news, fans needn't worry after tonight's airing of the last episode in the current second season.  It won't be long before we all marvel at the unique surprises only Eureka has to offer.  Last Thursday, the SCI-FI Channel announced that it has already given the greenlight for 13 installments to make up the third season of the show.  The new season is slated to premiere sometime during summer next year.
