Matt Frewer was born on January 4, 1958 in Washington, D.C. but grew up in Peterborough, Ontario. He studied at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School where he graduated from a 3-year acting course. As an actor, he was popularly known for his portrayal of the icon Max Headroom. His other projects included The Stand, Desperation, Doctor Doctor, Taken, The Betrayal, and Dawn of the Dead to name a few. Ultimately, he became part of the television series Eureka as Jim Taggart.
Jim Taggart is a 45-year old hunter who appears to know almost every breed of animal, insect or bird. He also has an obsession on catching Lowjack, the dog that randomly appears all over town. In addition, he is a cryptozoologist and is also known as the town's veterinarian.
