Last month, the third season of
Eureka began with
Ed Quinn hinting that his character, Nathan Stark, may not be dead, as most had presumed him to be. While fans still have to wait and see if he will return this season, one thing’s for sure—
Colin Ferguson’s Jack Carter will be facing some serious spandex tonight on Episode 3.06, titled “Phased and Confused.”
In fact,
in this clip from Sci-Fi, we can see a masked man in blue spandex trying to save the day. However, Carter’s job becomes a little more complicated when this superhero decides to dabble in the daily affairs and save the day. Meanwhile, Thorne’s search for a secret buried underneath the town puts Zoe and her friends in mortal danger.
Meanwhile, Eureka star and Montreal native Colin Ferguson recently spoke with Canada.com to reveal his thoughts on the success of the series, and the experiences he picked up working on the Sci-Fi project, especially with all the green screen work and the CGI interaction.
Ferguson says that working with CGI is not as easy as it seems, even if he enjoys working with the Self Actuated Residential Automated Habitat (SARAH), the fictional smart house in which Sheriff Carter lives.
"I actually really enjoy working with the green screen or the CGI, but working with S.A.R.A.H. is a bit of a pain," Ferguson admits. "They don't add in her voice until later, so when we're filming, there's usually a French-Canadian guy, Patrick, doing the voice. 'We-ell, Jacques! Eet ees so good to 'ave you 'ome!'"
Additionally, Ferguson says that the production has become so close that he usually communicates with the writers of the show when he deems it necessary.
"Some days it's fun and some days the writers hate me. But you can't say it, and hey, they know it's for the best," he says. Nonetheless, Ferguson believes in the hard work that the writers pour into the script, saying, "I love it when you get the script and you get a scene and you're like, 'I can nail that.' Or you're like, 'I love that joke. Who wrote that joke? I love that joke.' I love that on
Eureka. I love seeing something all the way through like that. It's just a joy when you get to do a scene that's well-written. You're thrilled every second along the way."
Catch Sci-Fi’s Eureka tonight at 9pm.
