ER: Episode 14.13 Preview and Spoilers
NBC is airing ER's final pre-strike episode, "Atonement," tonight. According to the show's official website, the installment has Pratt (Mekhi Phifer) experiencing cold feet Neela (Parminder Nagra) joining the Ortho hockey team, and a prison doc paying a visit to the hospital.

In “Atonement,” Pratt gets cold feet when Bettina (Gina Ravera) attempts to take their relationship to a whole new level.  Neela suits up for the Ortho hockey team, and upon hitting the ice, is surprised to see that they are going up against the trauma surgeons, led by chief resident Morris (Scott Grimes).

Meanwhile, a prison doctor arrives at the ER with a young boy.  The boy fell into a frozen lake, and the man jumped in to save him.  According to SpoilerFIX, Pratt, Grady (Gil McKinney), Sam (Linda Cardellini) and Gates (John Stamos) are the ones who treat the boy, whose temperature drops so low that he has to be put on a cardio bypass machine to help warm his heart and blood.  Gates gets into an argument with Sam when she undermines his decisions, while the boy's mother yell's at the prison doctor, saying that it's his fault the boy might die.

Julia (guest star Reiko Aylesworth, 24) tries to help the prison doctor shed his guilt after he reveals that he is the one who administered lethal injections to deathrow inmates.

Also guest-starring in tonight's ER is Kari Matchett.  The 37-year-old actress, whose television credits include Heartland, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Shark and Invasion, will reprise her role as Dr. Skye Wexler.

Due to the ongoing WGA strike, “Atonement” is possibly last episode of ER's current season, which is widely believed to be the show's final run.  However, there is a chance the network could renew the series for another year, if only to tie up loose ends and give it a proper conclusion.
