Michael Phelps has found himself in great demand after winning a record eight gold medals at the recent Olympics. First, the 23-year-old swimmer has been tapped to be a presenter at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, which will be held on September 7 in Los Angeles. The following day, he will be gracing the premiere of
The Oprah Winfrey Show's 23rd season and make an appearance on
The Tonight Show as well. In an attempt to make a huge splash this summer,
Saturday Night Live has booked Phelps to host the sketch comedy's season 34, scheduled to air on September 13. On top of that, the golden boy has also signed on to do a cameo on HBO's
Entourage.
According to E! Online, the athlete filmed a "spontaneous" cameo with the cast of
Entourage in New York City this week, however, it is unclear when the episode will air. Fans will just have to stay tuned when the new season kicks off on September 7.
Entourage, for those who are not familiar, is an Emmy Award-winning HBO series created by Doug Ellin that chronicles the rise of Vincent Chase and his childhood friends from Queens, New York City. The show stars

Debi Mazar as Shauna,
Jeremy Piven as Ari,
Jerry Ferrara as Turtle,
Kevin Connolly as Eric,
Kevin Dillon as Drama,

When Phelps shot an impromptu cameo for the new season of
Entourage, the show's cast members were able to hang out with the Olympic golden boy.
"It was like being in New York City with one of the Beatles," Kevin Connolly told
E! about his scene with Phelps. “People were stopping in the streets and climbing up things to see him. They were going nuts. He's like a superstar."
"It was fun [albeit] pretty humbling," added the
Entourage actor.
