Bridget Moynahan, who portrayed Whitney Crane on
Six Degrees, has signed on to appear on ABC's
Eli Stone. According to
TV Guide, the 37-year-old actress will be playing a love interest for the visionary title character, though her duration run on the sophomore drama is unclear yet at this point.
This marks the latest casting news for
Eli Stone. As mentioned before, the upcoming season of
Eli Stone will also feature
Dawson's Creek alum
Katie Holmes as a lawyer, Academy Award-nominated actress Sigourney W.aver as a therapist, and multiple Grammy Award-winner Seal, who will appear as himself in an episode, which will tentatively air in late October or early November.
Aside from fronting the ABC short-lived drama
Six Degrees, Moynahan is also known for her role as Natash on
Sex and the City in 1999. A year later, she landed her breakthrough role in the feature film
Coyote Ugly as the character Rachel and since then, has appeared on several blockbuster movies, such as
The Sum of All Fears, The Recruit, I, Robot, and
Lord of War.
In addition to being an actress, Moynahan is also a model who has graced the covers of numerous magazines, including
Elle, Self, Fitness, New Woman and
Glamour. In May 2006, she was ranked number 96 in
Maxim magazine's annual Hot 100 list and ranked number 67 in AskMen.com Top 99 women of 2007.
