Jonathan Lee "Johnny" Miller was born on November 15, 1972 in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, England. At age seventeen, he left school to pursue an acting career. Miller got his big break when he appeared in Hackers with Angelina Jolie whom he married a year after the film was shot. In 1996, he took the lead role in the movie Trainspotting. It was in this film that he gained real notoriety, making people believe he was a Scottish actor because of his believable accent. In 1997, a year before his divorce with Jolie, Miller became involved in the creation and operation of Natural Nylon, a British film production company along with his friends and stars Jude Law, Sadie Frost and Ewan McGregor among others. In 2003, Natural Nylon folded. Miller's television appearances included those in EastEnders, The Canterbury Tales,
Smith , and the miniseries Dead Man's Walk. In 2007 Miller was signed to appear on television again, this time for the ABC series Eli Stone.
Eli Stone is played by Johnny Miller in the television series of the same name. Eli is a mercenary attorney who works for the biggest companies who like stepping on the ordinary man. However, things turn upside down when he starts getting prophetic visions. Could this be Eli's true higher calling? If ever it is, then switching sides to defend the offended would be the biggest thing he has ever done in his career.
