After the much-hyped about appearance of Mrs. Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes,
Eli Stone welcomes Jamey Sheridan on the show. Sheridan played Captain Deakins on
Law and Order: Criminal Intent for more than five seasons and was also on
Chicago Hope.
Sheridan will play an evening news anchor on
Eli Stone, who is "banished" to 5 am Siberia when his reporting starts raising the hackles of network advertisers. When he gets sacked eventually, Eli and the gang must navigate around the sticky wicket of an incriminating email in which Sheridan's character effectively quit, thus voiding his lucrative, multi-year contract. Of course, there should be something more to it than meets the eye.
Previously, Holmes did a sultry jazz number that left the show's viewers still not sure whether it was lip-synched or not. Eli had his latest vision in the form of this gorgeous brunette singing to him, and he eventually met in the flesh at a baseball game. Soon, Eli found himself attracted to the mysterious girl who goes by the name of Grace. The two embarked on a whirlwind romance.
