Not the whole canceled ABC show; but the actor who plays the titular character on the dramedy Eli Stone is set to head to Broadway after being cast in the upcoming production of After Miss Julie, the Roundabout Theater Company reports.

British actor Jonny Lee Miller, 36, who stars as the modern-day prophet candidate and San Francisco lawyer Eli Stone, will likewise play the title character on the Broadway stage in its American premiere.  The new version of August Strindberg's stage drama Miss Julie is also his Broadway debut.

Miller, other than being ex-Mrs. Angelina Jolie, counts Trainspotting, Mansfield Park, and The Flying Scotsman as his more notable film credits.  After Miss Julie is scheduled to start on September 18 and is expected to run until December 6.

After Miss Julie transposes August Strindberg's 1888 play about sex and class to an English country house on the eve of Labour's historic landslide in 1945," the Roundabout said in a news release.

His current television engagement, however, despite being canceled - is set to return on Saturday - following the debacle after November's cancellation - with an episode called "Sonoma." On it, Eli, Taylor (Natasha Henstridge), Matt (Sam Jaeger), and Maggie (Julie Gonzalo) share what is described as an "awkward" car ride to Sonoma after a news anchor from one of the biggest media corporations loses his job. Eli, meanwhile, starts being plagued with not one but two brain aneurysms as a result of the "Dark Truth" treatment.

"Sonoma" is the first in the final four unaired episodes of Eli Stone.  ABC told the show's producers that it will not be ordering new episodes on mid-November last year.
