Eli Stone has garnered much buzz in the couple of months before its sophomore season aired, and this is much due to the fact that their new season is very star-studded. We have numerous reports on the distinguished actors and actresses who will be gracing

Dawson’s Creek actress
Katie Holmes and Academy Award-nominee Sigourney Weaver.
Meanwhile, the more important point to consider is that ABC has reached an early decision regarding the fate of
Eli Stone. It’s highly unusual that the network decides before the ratings are released, but ABC has moved forward and ordered four additional scripts of the show.
"It's an incredible vote of confidence," executive producer Marc Guggenheim said. "I had told [ABC] that in order to keep production rolling [beyond Eli's initial 13-episode order], I would need to know by Wednesday [if they wanted more]. I figured at the very least that would give them a day's worth of ratings to analyze. And they were like, 'Nope, we'll just order them now.'"
Meanwhile, while fans are cheering for the good news, they could also sit back and relax before they get to see Katie Holmes on
Eli Stone, as she appears on the episode that airs on October 21.
More importantly, the cast of the ABC series seems to be captivated by her, as Eli Stone star
Jonny Lee Miller admitted, “She is amazing in the show. She was just a really, really nice person to have around. Really great work ethic. She was awesome.”
Access Hollywood reported that Holmes will sing and dance in the episode. It seems that she pulled it off gracefully, as the cast was wowed by her performance.
“She has a fantastic voice and she has an amazing number,” Miller said. Moreover, he says that fans should tune in this season because “We’ve got some pretty good guest stars going on. They’ve all been so sweet and excited to be on our show. We’re just blown away by it.”
