Seems the
rumors are at least partially true... photographers snapped Ed Westwick and guest star Neal Bledsoe (who plays Blair's NYU nemesis Ellis) here, on their way to shooting the alleged male on male encounter!
The web is all abuzz about whether Chuck could be gay, if the kiss is a manipulation, or if it's all just a big misunderstanding (especially given Chuck's impeccable fashion sense).
No solid answers just yet, but Michael Ausiello of EW and Perez Hilton did what they could for us with a couple smooching spoilers:
Oh, Michael Ausiello. What a tease! The question is... is he a bigger tease than Chuck Bass is? Here's what Ausiello (didn't) have to say about the Bass boy-on-boy kiss:
Q: Stop resisting the temptation and tell us: What does Chuck say after he kisses another guy on Gossip Girl?
A: He says... Nope, can't do it. Sorry.
Q: Please calm the storm in the Gossip Girl fandom and tell us if Chuck is bisexual?
A: I'll say this: The comment Chuck makes to Blair post-smooch ... Nope, can't do it.
Well, we all know Perez Hilton isn't one to keep us in the dark, even if it is for our own good! He sent out one of his spies to the Gossip Girl set, and obtained photos of 1 script page that briefly mentions the man to man encounter. If you read carefully, these lines are clear:
INT. BAR MAIN ROOM
Blair enlists Chuck to help her get revenge on Ellis.
INT. BAR MAIN ROOM
Blair bursts in just as Ellis kisses Chuck.
Sounds like, even if he decides that he enjoyed the lip action after the fact, the kiss
nor the encounter were Chuck's ideas. My bet: Chuck wears too many ascots and glittery tuxedo jackets to have survived without being hit on by another guy until now. He'll know how to handle the situation, and Blair's inevitable freak-out, no matter which way he swings. Hey... he's Chuck Bass!
