Biography

Dylan Baker Biography:

Born on October 7, 1959 in Syracuse, New York, Dylan Baker grew up in Lynchburg, Virginia, where he first pursued an acting career on stage. He was a student at Holy Cross High School and obtained his diploma from Georgetown Preparatory School. He earned his degree from Southern Methodist, but also spent some time at the College of William of Mary in Virginia. He then went on to pursue his Master in Fine Arts at the Yale School of Drama. While he was at Yale, Baker appeared in Not About Heroes, an off-Broadway production directed by Dianne Wiest. His performance garnered him an Obie Award, and shortly after his graduation, he landed roles in the plays Eastern Standard and La Bete. In 1987, he made his very first big screen appearance on the comedy Planes, Trains and Automobiles and eventually entered the small screen with roles on the shows The Murder of Mary Phagan, Murder One and Feds. From there, Baker continued to work in more notable productions, which include Happiness, Thirteen Days, Radioland Murders, The Cell, Kinsey, Spider-Man 2, The History of the Devil, CSI and Law & Order . At present, Baker is starring in the Fox drama series, Drive.

John Trimble is portrayed by Dylan Baker on the show Drive. John is a successful Astrophysicist, who obtained his degree from Berkeley, his Master’s of Science from MIT and his Ph.D. from Cal Tech. He works for the Applied Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, and has devoted much of his time studying the mysteries of the universe. He has one daughter, Violet, who he has tough time comprehending. He truly wants to connect with Violet, but he doesn’t know where and how to start.
