Next Time, 'Don't Forget the Lyrics' Mr. West

The recently concluded 59th annual Emmy Awards had its share of stunning upsets, most notably,
Boston Legal eagle, James Spader, snatching the Best Dramatic Actor from heavy favorites James Gandolfini and Hugh Laurie. While we don't hear either Gandolfini or Laurie whining about their defeat, rapper Kanye West lived up to his reputation as a crybaby loser when he shouted “I never win!”
West was pitted against
The Office's
Rainn Wilson during one of the awards ceremony's intermission stunts. In typical fashion, the artist who has made a living of complaining about being passed over or shut out in prestigious music awards, wound up on the short end of the duel.

In a spoof of FOX's
Don't Forget the Lyrics which he hosts, comedian
Wayne Brady called on West and Wilson to battle it out in
Don't Forget the Lyrics style, using West's own tune, "Stronger." In a quirky twist of fate, the
Office actor bested his singer counterpart because of a few letters.
West crooned the line “That's how long I've been on you” when his original lyrics are “That's how long I've been on ya.” In contrast, Wilson managed through the song flawlessly. Naturally,
Don't Forget the Lyrics presenter, Wayne Brady, didn't miss the chance to chide the embarrassed rapper.
"You picked a bad time to speak properly," Brady told West.
For his part, Wilson basked in his feat while feeling sorry for his adversary.
"Victory is mine," Wilson declared. "Kanye, come here, stand with me."
"I never win," West grumbled in return.
"I'm sorry, man," Wilson then offered.
As prize for his triumph, Wilson was given the honor of announcing the nominees for best reality show competition. For his losing effort, West was “banished” to retire from the entertainment business, in a jab at his fierce rivalry with fellow rapper, 50 Cent.
