Exclusive Video Interview with Eliza Dushku and Tahmoh Penikett of 'Dollhouse'
BuddyTV writer Oscar Dahl recently had the privilege to sit down with Eliza Dushku and Tahmoh Penikett of Joss Whedon’s new series Dollhouse. When asked about the premise of the show, Eliza narrowed it down to “dolls for hire,” to which Penikett exclaimed, “the ultimate fantasy.”

Dollhouse is set to premiere next Friday, February 13th at 9pm right after the return of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. With the ads Fox recently released around Eliza Dushku (shown here), it’s easy to see that Penikett’s assessment is correct. In the interview below, Dushku and Penikett talk about their roles in Dollhouse as well as what it’s like to work with the legendary Joss Whedon. Despite production hang-ups, they both can’t wait for audiences to see the final product.

Having seen three episodes, I’ll tell you it wasn’t what I expected. I expected camp and non-stop Whedon humor. Although the humor is still present, Dollhouse is an action piece closer to CSI and Alias than Buffy and Firefly. Any Whedon fan will spot it as a Whedon production right away. New viewers will be pleasantly surprised by what they see, especially by the second episode. The suspense and drama had my hair standing on end and I cannot wait for the season to unfold.

Along with the interview, there’s a sneak peek look at the series. Check them both out and let us know what you think.
