Cesar Millan was born to Felipe Millan Guillen and Maria Teresa Favela d'Millan in 1969 and is a native of Culiacan, Mexico. His early childhood was spent with his grandfather in Ixpalino, thus his father being his biggest influence of his love for dogs. At a young age he was exposed to the simple life of having no electricity and just living in the farm. He helped his grandfather take care of the different animals they had in the campesino and as he grew up he became drawn to dogs. When Millan was seven, his family moved to Mazatlan to get him a good education. Through his late childhood and adolescence he still had this inkling for dogs and this proliferated further in when he moved to the U.S. when he was 21. After a few jobs here and there he put up Pacific Point Canine Academy, which catered to different customers which included celebrities like Will Smith and his wife. Once he had the resources, he enriched his mind more by educating himself and put up his own Dog Psychology Center which aimed to rehabilitate dogs. He is the president of Cesar Millan, Inc. and is a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals. MPH Entertainment, Inc. then developed the show
The Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan which was soon aired in the National Geographic Channel, where it became their number one show right on the first season.
Cesar Millan is the host of the show
The Dog Whisperer where he helps out dogs that have problems. He rehabilitates dogs through his ability to communicate well with them. He applies the "Power of the Pack" methodology to transform dogs into tame and pleasant pets. He also trains the dogs' owners as to how they must handle them to avoid any further conflict.
