Fans of
Duane "Dog" Chapman will be pleased to know that his reality series,
Dog the Bounty Hunter, is reportedly going back to production after being on hold since November last year. Although A&E hasn't set any premiere date yet, shooting is expected to start as soon as possible since most of the preparations have already been made.
A network official confirms to TMZ that the cast and crew are presently gearing up in Hawaii. Makeup artists and camera crews have already been hired, and houses and cars have been rented, all for the return of the show.

Production of
Dog the Bounty Hunter, a reality television show that chronicles Chapman and his team as they pursue actual criminals who violated the conditions of their bail, was halted indefinitely last November by the network after Chapman made some racial remarks in a private telephone conversation with his son which surfaced online.
"My sincerest, heartfelt apologies go out to every person I have offended for my regrettable use of very inappropriate language. I am deeply disappointed in myself for speaking out of anger to my son and using such a hateful term in a private phone conversation," Chapman said at the time.
Despite Chapman's heartfelt public apology, the network decided to remove the show off their schedule due to the growing pressure from the TV program's sponsors.
But thanks to fans' incessant effort to put the show back on the air, along with Chapman's many attempts to make things right by reaching out to the members of the African-American community,
Dog the Bounty Hunter has been given another chance.
The "healing" process included a couple of TV interviews, and a reported promise to A&E to not repeat the behavior. There is also an unconfirmed report that the new season of the show will include an episode where Chapman discusses the incident.
How do you feel about the return of Dog the Bounty Hunter?
