John Barrowman was born on March 11, 1967 in Glasgow, Scotland is an openly gay all-around performer who excels in the field of hosting, singing, dancing and acting. As an actor, he appeared in several shows like Torchwood, Live & Kicking and How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?, and Dancing on Ice. Ultimately, he was voted the 2006 Stonewall "Entertainer of the Year".

Captain Jack Harkness is played by John Barrowman on the television series Doctor Who. He is a time traveler and a confidence trickster who came from the 51st century. He is known as the first openly bisexual companion of the Ninth Doctor. In addition, he appears to be playfully flirty with everyone he meets.
