Who killed George Dutch? That's a question that's been haunting fans of
Dirty Sexy Money for nearly two years now. There have been even speculations on whether he's alive. Unfortunately, that's of no value at this point because viewers will never know how it all plays out now that ABC decided to pull the plug on satire drama. At any rate, the show's main mystery will finally be resolve tonight at 10pm.
When we last saw the Darlings, Simon (Blair Underwood) provided Nola (Lucy Liu) with a solution to her problems, while Nick (Peter Krause) found out that Karen (Natalie Zea) is pregnant with Simon Elder's baby. At the same time, Andrea kicked Brian (Glenn Fitzgerald) out of their house because she discovered that he had traveled to D.C. hoping for a rendezvous with his ex-wife. The Bio-fuel partnership between Tripp (Donald Sutherland) and Simon was also finalized. Oh and did I mention that Nola stabbed Simon!
There are certainly a lot of crazy loose threads on
Dirty Sexy Money but hopefully, the season ender entitled "The Bad Guy" will tie everything together. After being stabbed by Nola, the badly wounded Simon is secretly taken to the Imperial to recuperate. As Simon recovers, Nick forces him to reveal how he is controlling Nola and why he had her prosecute Letitia for Dutch's murder. This prompts Simon to tell Nick about his motivations for dealing with the Darlings, leading to a surprise confession about Nick's father.
Meanwhile, Nick and the pregnant Karen's budding romance hit a snag when they learn that his ex-wife, Lisa, is writing a tell-all book about the Darlings which may damage the family name. Subsequently, Karen suffers a miscarriage.
Nola, on the other hand, says a tearful goodbye to Jeremy while she goes off to rescue her kidnapped brother in China. However, Simon's nurse, Daphne, is already next in line to heal his broken heart. In other developments, Patrick wants his affair with Dana Whatley to go to the next level, but that is not something her husband, Congressman Whatley, agreed to. As for Brian, who is still sharing Nick's apartment with him, he's frustrated with its decor and decides to give it an extreme home makeover.
