
ABC will launch an hour-long pilot following the
Grey’s Anatomy spin-off,
Private Practice, which will take the Wednesday niche at 10/9C. The upcoming show called
Dirty Sexy Money is one of the new dramas to launch in the network’s fall schedule.
Dirty Sexy Money follows the life of a young lawyer named Nick George. After the sudden death of his father, he inherits his father’s job as the personal lawyer of the rich and powerful Darling family. Now, he is torn between sticking with his idealism and getting involved in dubious endeavors.
Here’s a little background on the cast:
Nick George, the lead character, is played by
Peter Krause who is best known for his role as Nate Fisher on
Six Feet Under. He plays the civic-minded attorney who becomes the lawyer of the Darling family upon the death of his father.
Patrick “Tripp” Darling III is played by actor
Donald Sutherland who is known for his work in
Citizen X and
Path to War. As the Darling family patriarch, he has acquired enormous wealth in the form of vineyards and properties, and has raised five grown children, which include Patrick, Karen, Brian, Jeremy and Juliet.
Letitia Darling, wife of Tripp and mother to the Darling children, is played by
Jill Clayburgh, actress fame for her work on
The Practice and
Unmarried Woman. Her character is devastated with the death of Nick’s father.
Other cast members include
William Baldwin as Senator Patrick Darling, the first-born child of Tripp and Letitia,
Natalie Zea as Karen Darling, the eldest daughter in the Darling family who runs a charity foundation,
Glenn Fitzgerald as Reverend Brian Darling, the middle child and rival of Nick as a child,
Seth Gabel as Jeremy Darling, the youngest son who is addicted to coke,
Samaire Armstrong as Juliet Darling, the youngest child who appears to be spoiled,
Zoe McLellan as Lisa George, the wife of Nick George, Victoria Patt as Naomi Leeds, the editor-in-chief of Elite Magazine who wants a scoop on the Darling family, and Laz Alonso as Colin Davidson, an attorney practicing with Nick at his law firm.
Produced ABC Television Studio in association with Berlanti Television, Dirty Sexy Money is set to premiere on June 1, 2007.
