Film and television actress Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge was born May 15, 1982 in Darien, Connecticut.  The Breckenridge family moved to California when Alex was 11 years old.  She discovered her love for the craft of acting when she was 13.  In her teenage years, she honed her skills by performing in local theater productions. She eventually moved to Los Angeles in pursuit of an acting career.  Alexandra is the niece of Navy NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service actor Michael Weatherly.

Alexandra Breckenridge guest starred as Kate Douglas on the WB hit TV drama Dawson's Creek, as Michelle Miglis on Charmed, as Kit Holburn on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and as Lisa Hunt on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.  Her other notable TV appearances were on shows Opposite Sex, Undeclared, Freaks and Greeks, Medium, Psych and JAG to name a few.  She played lead roles Katie Hill on Mystery Girl and Michelle Weinberger on Romy and Michele: In the Beginning.

Her film credits include She's the Man, Wishcraft, Big Fat Liar, Jack Rabbit, Orange County and The Bridge to Nowhere.  She starred as Amy in the short film D.E.B.S and as Vanessa in the short horror film Rings.  D.E.B.S won Best Short Film at various film festivals such as the Bearfest-Big Bear Lake International Film Festival, the Dublin Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, the L.A. Outfest, the New York Lesbian and Gay Film Festival, and the PlanetOut Short Movie Awards.

Alex also did voice-overs for the character Alyssa on the FOX animated TV comedy Family Guy.

She currently lives in Hollywood.

Willa McPherson is played by Alexandra Breckenridge on FX's drama series Dirt.  The show focuses on DirtNow's editor-in-chief Lucy Spiller, the people around her and the publication of the first ever glossy tabloid.  Willa is a reporter for Lucy and takes her work seriously.  She goes to the extreme of taking drugs, submitting to sexual advances and even making friends with mentally challenged persons just to advance the objectives of DirtNow.
