In less than a week, America's favorite serial killer returns to our TV screens in attempt to answer the question: Can Dexter Morgan really have it all? We find out exactly on Dexter's fourth season premiere on Sunday, September 27 at 9pm but until then, we're left wondering how Dexter will deal with unfamiliar territory now that he's a husband and a father. Luckily, Showtime has released two video clips from the season 4 opener to give us a clue.

Take note, however, that these clips may contain spoilers so watch at your own risk.

The first clip is entitled "A Killer Cliche" and finds Dexter getting ready for work. We get an idea of how taxing life in suburbia can be for someone who works as a blood spatter analyst during the day and serial killer at night through a funny spoof of Dexter's signature opening credits. This time, however, Dexter is getting dressed with baby puke on his white shirt while his shoelaces are snapping. He also repeatedly yawns, hinting that several sleepless nights are gradually taking their toll on Dexter.

Dexter finally finds some peace and quite in the second clip called "Just Me and Blood" but don't imagine him slicing up some murderer just yet. He's actually in the lab, alone with his blood samples trying to figure out his next move after setting his sights on a new target. Unfortunately, his time alone is interrupted by a phone call from Rita who's having a hard time putting the baby to sleep. So as expected, Dexter plays his part as daddy and sings.

Based on the clips above, it's hard to imagine Dexter having it all. But I'm still hoping that he'll be able to maneuver his way out of this tough situation. He normally does after all.
