The characters on Dexter
have never been much for family holidays or Thanksgiving for that matter. But we learn what the timely occasion signifies in "Hungry Man," the ninth episode of Dexter
's fourth season. For Dexter Morgan, Thanksgiving is an opportunity to get closer to Trinity--- his most dangerous adversary yet. For LaGuerta and Angel, on the other hand, the holiday is all about spending time together at work "unfortunately."
Seeing how Angel and LaGuerta can't stay true to their promise to stay away from each other, it's only a matter of time before the Deputy Chief finds about their rekindled office romance. For now, though, they have "stolen Thanksgiving moments" and that's something they should be thankful for.
While Dexter tries to gain more insight into Arthur's psychology by studying those closest to him, Rita has her hands full preparing dinner for her family, as well as a few unexpected guests. As for Deb, she's using the occasion to continue her investigation of the Trinity Killer, unaware that her pursuit threatens her brother's safety. Conversely, it also brings to light surprising revelations about someone else close to her.
