Mark Moses as Paul Young

Mark Moses was born on February, 24, 1958, and launched his acting career in New York City by appearing in various daytime dramas and stage productions. His first Broadway performance was for the play called Slab Boys, where he acted opposite Kevin Bacon and Sean Penn. He then went on to work with acclaimed director Oliver Stone on the films Platoon, Born on the Fourth of July and The Doors.

Moses career in television started out well, with shows like Family Ties, The Golden Girls, Matlock, Father Dowling Mysteries, Silk Stalkings, Party of Five, Malcolm in the Middle, The Single Guy, Chicago Hope, Family Law, Touched by an Angel, Judging Amy, Star Trek: Voyager, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, JAG, Enterprise, Ally McBeal, ER, The Practice, Boomtown, 7th Heaven, NYPD Blue, Las Vegas, The District and Without a Trace credited to his name. Moses has also worked on numerous motion pictures made for television.

As for his career in the film industry, Moses did not stop with the three films he made with Oliver Stone. He went on to appear in many more big screen productions, which include Someone to Watch Over Me, The Silence of Bethany, Hollywood Heartbreak, Dead Men Don't Die, Gettysburg, Just in Time, Deep Impact, One Man's Hero, Treehouse Hostage, The Remembering Movies, Red Dragon, A One Time Thing, After the Sunset, Monster-in-Law, Big Momma's House 2 and Letters from Iwo Jima.

Currently, Moses is most known for his role on the popular television series, Desperate Housewives. He plays Paul Young, the husband of the late Mary Alice Young (Brenda Strong). The role has given him the opportunity to share with his castmates the 2005 and 2006 Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

In 2006, Moses returned to the stage for the Off-Broadway production, Burleigh Grimes. The play, which also starred Wendie Malick, Ashley Williams and James Badge Dale, ran for less than a month.
