Desperate Housewives,
Nicollette Sheridan plays serial divorcee Edie Britt who can be quite competitive when it comes to anything romantic (or real estate). In real life, 44-year-old Sheridan's first marriage was to actor Harry Hamlin (
LA Law) in 1991. That didn't last long, as the two broke up a mere two years later.
After being engaged to Swedish personal trainer Nicklas Söderblom next for less than a year in 2005, the
Desperate Housewives star went to date again ex-boyfriend and Grammy Award-winning singer Michael Bolton, whom she first started dating in 1992. The two got engaged in 2006. There were even rumors that Sheridan was pregnant during the engagement. The couple's publicist Nicole Perna announced that Sheridan and Bolton ended their engagement “amicably” last August 26.
The couple spent five years together from 1992, then got back togheter in 2005. If we remember, Sheridan and Bolton even sang a duet titled The Second Time Around for the album Bolton Swings Sinatra in 2006 in obvious reference to this. Meanwhile, in March 2008 Sheridan posed naked for a London Fog charity ad which also featured Bolton.
Bolton, 55, won Grammy awards in 1989 and 1991 for male pop vocal performance and has sold more than 50 million records. He was married to Maureen McGuire between 1975 and 1990. His career started out as the lead singer with hard rock band Blackjack until becoming exponentially more successful as a solo artist.
On the new season of
Desperate Housewives, which is set to premiere on September 28, Sheridan's character will be seducing yet another boyfriend, who will played by actor Neal McDonough. Sheridan was born West Sussex, England to British actress Sally Sheridan.
