Less than a couple of months before ABC dramedy Desperate Housewives returns for its sixth season, ABC released some details - a Desperate Housewives season 6 preview - so that fans will know what to look forward to on September 27.

After the startling season 5 finale, Susan (Teri Hatcher) and Mike (James Denton) are supposed to be brought together by their worst fears, while Lynette's (Felicity Huffman) unexpected pregnancy is supposed to test her family. Elsewhere on the season, Bree's (Marcia Cross) marriage starts to dissolve, while she finds herself in the arms of another man. Gaby (Eva Longoria Parker) and Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira), meanwhile, are surprised by his niece Ana (Maiara Walsh) into their home. lastly, Katherine (Dana Delaney) is left reeling with the thought of losing Mike (James Denton).

When we left off our Desperate Housewives, Susan and MJ just nearly escaped the crazy-lunatic plan of crazy-lunatic Dave thanks largely to a little girl ghost. Mike also entered the scene to rescue the mother and son, while Katherine was left hanging in the airport with no clue as to what just happened.

Yet perhaps the most important cliffhanger of last season is the identity of Mike's bride. Of course, the most obvious response is Susan, and according to ABC, the Desperate Housewives season 6 premiere will reveal just who Mike married. On a related note, the Susan-Mike-Katherine love triangle is supposed to "heat up" and "take another chapter" while Ana continues to push Gaby to her limit. She initially thought she would get along well with Ana, until she discovered how she interacted with the boys.

On the fifth season finale, too, Lynette found out that contrary to her suspicion, she didn't have cancer - but was pregnant with twins again. Bree, finally, started her affair with Karl, who decided to teach Orson (Kyle MacLachlan) a lesson.
