'Desperate Housewives' Party in Private
'Desperate Housewives' Party in Private
Celebrity gatherings aren't that rare in this day and age, but it's definitely special when an intimate dinner is hosted by Eva Longoria Parker.  The star of Desperate Housewives invited a few close friends over for a private dinner thrown by Allure magazine.  The event was held at Longoria Parker's very own Hollywood restaurant, Beso.  What's more eye-opening is her impressive guest list.  Attending the affair were Victoria Beckham, Heidi Klum, Rosario Dawson, Desperate Housewives' Felicity Huffman and more.

The editor of Allure, Linda Wells, went on to praise Longoria Parker's recently deglamorized character on the hit series.  Besides that, the actress graced the magazine's November cover, with Wells saying she was “smart, gorgeous, funny and unretouched … and not frumpy at all.”

“It was nice to change it up for Gabrielle,” Longoria Parker said.  However, she later revealed that Gaby will revert to her alluring self by the show's 100th episode, which would air in January.

For the occasion, a long table was set for 50 while the restaurant closed for the privacy of the guests.  During the party, actress Felicity Huffman couldn't help herself from sharing a joke at the expense of her host.  “When Eva's not drunk, she is so good and talented,” she exclaimed.  “And I'm just hoping tonight we can keep her off the sauce.”

But she did make up for it by complimenting her co-star.  “She's the most joyful, generous, industrious, down-to-earth person that I know, so if she invites me to the opening of a letter, I'll go.”

Other attendees from the show included Dana Delany, who plays the enigmatic Katherine Mayfair.  She did reveal some news regarding the Desperate Housewives guest star Gale Harold.  Saying that he was “on the mend,” Delany continued: “We all hope he comes back.”

Huffman went on to say that, “From what I understand, he's getting better and better, so it's all good news on that front.”  She also hinted that Harold is going to “throw a monkey wrench” into the upcoming storylines of Desperate Housewives, much to the anticipation of fans.
