One of the creepier couples from Desperate Housewives will be back to the small screen, but this time without each other.
Former Desperate Housewives stars Nicollette Sheridan and Neal McDonough have bagged separate pilots; Sheridan opposite Ant Hines in his comedy pilot presentation for CBS and McDonough opposite Virginia Madsen on ABC dramedy series Scoundrels, the Hollywood Reporter reports.
Hines' semi-scripted presentation will be directed by Larry Charles and will star English actor Paul Kaye as a British lowlife moving to Los Angeles to reunite with his precocious teen superstar of a daughter. Sheridan, British born and raised, will play the girl's outrageous stage mother and the dad's long-lost love.
McDonough, meanwhile, will play the scam artist / forger / petty thief husband of a criminal family matriarch, played by Madsen, who is thrown to jail. Based on the New Zealand series
Outrageous Fortune, the comedic drama will follow Madsen's character and her attempt to go straight.
