Unlike her
Desperate Housewives character Katherine Mayfair, who has always been secretive, cast member
Dana Delany is more open and revealing. In fact, the 52-year-old actress spilled some pretty huge upcoming storylines for her character on the ABC dramedy, which returns with new episodes beginning February 8.
This season, Katherine has moved on into a relationship with Mike (
James Denton). While this doesn't sit well with some people, especially Susan's son M.J. (Mason Vale Cotton), Mike couldn't care less. At one point, he even tells Dave (
Neal McDonough) that he is falling in love with Katherine. What could this mean for Katherine and Mike's relationship? Read on to find out!
Warning: Spoilers ahead!!!
"Katherine and Mike are going to move in together," Dana Delany told
Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello. "That's huge. We have shot a few episodes of cohabitation already, and it has been a tremendous amount of fun. Fans of the show since the beginning will remember that Mike used to live in the house that I live in now in, so it is a sort of homecoming for him."
Of course, it won't be all domestic bliss for Katherine and Mike.
“But like all things on Wisteria Lane, it will have its own set of challenges. We aren't going to be living in complete bliss. Susan (
Teri Hatcher) has issues, for one. And Dave is still around trying to get revenge," the
Desperate Housewives star added.
Meanwhile, Delany also reveals that
Desperate Housewives won't employ another fast five-year flash forward when the fifth season wraps up.
"I am not sure how Marc [Cherry intends] to end the season this year, but I don't think it will be as dramatic as a five-year jump forward," she said.
