Now that
Nicollette Sheridan's exit on
Desperate Housewives is confirmed, it's time to ponder on whom series creator Marc Cherry will banish out of Wisteria Lane next. No one really is indispensable and soon, fans will have to face the fact that anyone could be written out of the canvas in an instant.
"Everyone is vulnerable on Wisteria Lane -- any of us could go," cast member
Dana Delany admitted at Saturday's Independent Spirit Awards. "Every single person in that cast feels like their days are numbered. I think [Marc] likes to keep people on their toes."
Warning: Spoilers Ahead!!!
Dana Delany joined
Desperate Housewives in the fourth season as the mysterious Katherine Mayfair. Two years later, however, Delany finds her character in an uneasy position. According to the actress, Katherine and Mike (
James Denton) will be going on a camping trip with resident psycho Dave (
Neal McDonough). And while she can't really reveal any more details, she did hint that “there was a rifle involved, but I can't say anything more than that."
"Trust me, I was worried the minute I read that," Delany admitted. "[Dave's] clearly not right in the head, and he has already wrongfully accused people of crimes, punched people, and killed people. But it's good because that sense of not knowing keeps the actors on their toes and it keeps the audience anticipating."
Meanwhile, Delany is also working on several projects for the big screen. She'll be in the comedy film
Route 30 with Curtis Armstrong and Robert Romanus, as well as in the drama movie
A Beautiful Life. She has also been cast in the horror thriller
Camp Hope alongside Andrew McCarthy, Jesse Eisenberg, and Connor Paolo.
Fans can catch the remaining episodes of
Desperate Housewives' fifth season, airing every Sunday at 9pm on ABC.
