In an attempt to put a stop to the circulating rumors of her being drunk on the set of her new movie entitled “Georgia Rule,” Felicity Huffman, one of the stars of Desperate Housewives, has addressed the issue by explaining that she was not intoxicated. Well, sort of.

A few days ago, Huffman has confessed to rumors that she was drunk on the set of her new film, which also stars Lindsay Lohan and Jane Fonda. “OK, it's a little true. I was drunk a little bit of it, but not a lot. I wish I could have done it drunk,” Huffman has said in an interview with Parade magazine.

After declaring the statement, that she was in fact a little drunk, many media outlets has reportedly exaggerated her words. The 44-year old actress now insists that what she said previously was just something out of humor, which fell flat and has given her a reputation as an alcoholic. In addition, many speculate that the Desperate Housewives actress’ drinking must have been attributed to her angst over the behavior of costar Lohan, who was rumored to be partying on the set.

Nevertheless, Huffman has defended Lohan and has calmly explained herself. "That was a joke and it got pulled out of context, but I like that I'm known now as the drinking actress…Once people see the movie, God willing, the performances will eclipse any gossip. People always love gossip whether it’s true or not. To me, Lindsay was a complete and utter delight. The minute I met her, I just loved her. She meets you with an open heart and wide-open eyes and gets right in there. She cares about the work. She throws herself in, 100 percent. I just adored her. She’s fantastic in the movie. It doesn’t get any better than what she did. Brilliant,” Huffman has said during the movie’s premiere.
