ABC has finally announced an air date for the latest episode of Desperate Housewives
. Fans will still have some waiting to do, however, as the highly-anticipated installment won't be airing until early next year.
The episode, which will reveal to viewers who else died in the tornado that devastated Wisteria Lane on December 2, is set to hit the airwaves on Sunday, January 6. Unfortunately, this could be the last new episode for the season, that is, if the WGA strike does not reach a settlement soon.
Viewers still have something to be happy about however, as a source tells TV Guide
that the upcoming episode promises to be a good one.
"It's even better than the last," the source said. "It's super-gripping, it addresses so many storylines, and it answers so many questions that viewers have been asking all season."
Another thing that viewers can be happy about is some juicy spoilers, and for those who can't wait until January 6 to find out who lost their lives to the tornado, keep on reading.
TV Guide is reporting that the upcoming Desperate Housewives
episode will confirm the deaths of Gaby's (Eva Longoria
) husband, Victor (James Slattery), and Adam's (Nathan Fillion
) patient-turned- stalker, Sylvia (Melora Walters).
Now on to the juicier parts.
According to SpoilerFIX, the other casualty of the tornado is none other than baseball fanatic Ida Greenberg (Pat Crawford Brown). Last time viewers saw her, she, along with Tom (Doug Savant
) and the Scavo kids, was taking cover at Mrs. McCluskey's house, which was leveled by the tornado. Ida's neighbors honor her by scattering her ashes over a baseball field.
As for Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira
), SpoilerFIX is reporting that he manages to escape the wrath of the tornado by seeking shelter in one of the houses.
The episode, entitled “Welcome to Kanagawa,” was supposed to air later this season. It was also the last Desperate Housewives
episode completed before the writers' strike commenced on November 5.
