Pilar Lastra grew up not knowing what she really wanted out of life. Though she had a very hazy outlook on her career path, she obviously wanted to be part of the Hollywood glamour. Unfortunately, her fate in Los Angeles was not very kind. Her inability to find the most suitable job merged with her penniless condition and resulted to her coming back home to San Antonio, Texas. Upon some soul searching, she was able to redirect her life and then again, return to Los Angeles to try her luck once more. Her perseverance paid off as she became part of an independent film called Malibu Spring Break. Her exposure in this film led to her becoming of Miss August 2004 in Playboy magazine and eventually, a hosting job on the radio show The Playmate Hour.
