Women lined up for Deal or No Deal casting call In the second season of Deal or No Deal, a diverse group of models was again brought out to reveal the content of the briefcases to the contestants and viewers.  From aspiring actresses to beauty pageant winners, the lovely ladies have not failed to help deliver excitement and suspense to the show.

With the third season of Deal or No Deal premiering in September, the show has gone out in search of the next model who can fill the single open position.  The producers’ final stop was at San Diego, California.

The casting call welcomed all women age 18 and above.  The San Diego auditions attracted more than 100 Deal or No Deal model hopefuls, all of whom had their headshots ready in their hands.  They formed a long line going into Stingaree, a restaurant/ nightclub where the auditions were held.

Upon entering the nightclub, the women were asked to sign in and have their pictures taken.  They were then led to an interview area, where casting director J.C. Carollo talked to them in groups of four.

The applicants did not share a distinct trait, but this did not present a problem for the producers.

"There is no exact requirement for a briefcase model,” Carollo explained.  "We're looking for someone who just stands out, someone who has a personality and really shines, because Howie Mandel is definitely a character, and if a girl can get into that audition and really give it back to me, then they can handle Howie Mandel."

Some of the women had traveled far distances for the opportunity to be on the popular reality series.

"I had never been to San Diego, so this is really exciting for me," said Jacquie Aziere, a native of Dallas, Texas.  "I'm enjoying the atmosphere and just being here, so it's quite the journey."

Prior to San Diego, the show went to Newport and Los Angeles for the casting call, but Carollo believes that “some of the most beautiful women in America live in San Diego.”
