Robin Weigert was born on July 7, 1969 in Washington, D.C. She graduated from Brandeis University, attended New York University and trained at the Tisch School of the Arts. Her television credits included Law & Order, Angels in America, Without a Trace, CSI, Cold Case and The Unit to name a few. Ultimately, she became part of the television series Deadwood as Calamity Jane where she was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting actress in a Drama Series. Calamity Jane is known for her hard drinking and swearing. She is a former scout for General Custer who arrived in Deadwood with Wild Bill Hickok and Charlie Utter. After Hickok's murder, she sinks into extreme depression and alcoholism.
