deadwood.jpgDeadwood is a drama series set in the 1870’s in Deadwood, Dakota Territory. With a Western tone, the show features numerous historical icons such as Wild Bill Hickok (Keith Carradine), Seth Bullock (Timothy Olyphant), Calamity Jane (Robin Weigert) and Wyatt Earp (Gale Harold) to name a few.


The dawn of an American town and the merciless power struggle among lawless boundaries are the main concept of the show Deadwood. The show entails subjects of greed, plunder, wealth, race, sex, violence and other political and social issues. Moreover, the plot combines fictional, as well as real-life characters to project an epic morality tale. With a wide range of colorful characters which consists of outlaws, prostitutes, gunfighters an racketeers, the show captures western capitalism with a huge doze of chaos.

Deadwood is produced by David Milch and Greg Fienberg, and airs on HBO.
