Lauren Alice Koslow was born on March 9, 1953 in Boston, Massachusetts. Her mother was a docent who raised her children with a strong love for colonial life. Koslow was educated at the University of Massachusetts and Virginia State University, graduating with a degree in theatre and costume design. Her first acting projects were Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Dial M for Murder. Later she appeared on television, in
The Young and the Restless and
The Bold and the Beautiful . She also guest starred in Silk Stalkings and The Nanny. She was married to make up artist Nick Schillace in 1987 and had two children with him. Koslow was also nominated for a Soap Opera Digest Award as outstanding supporting actress for her role in Days of our Lives.
Katherine Elizabeth "Kate" Roberts is played by Lauren Koslow in Days of Our Lives. Kate is a conniving woman who knows what she wants and how to get it every time. She has five children, a girl and a boy with Curtis Reed, a daughter with Roman Brady, a son with Bill Horton and another son with Victor Kiriakis.
