Previously on
Days of our Lives, Stephanie (
Shelley Hennig) surprised Max (
Darin Brooks) on the train to Marseille and decided that she's taking this journey with him whether he likes it or not. Marlena (
Deidre Hall) met with Rolf (William Utay) to offer him a deal which involved him fixing the broken disk that contains all of John's (
Drake Hogestyn) memories and Marlena making sure the he gets immunity. EJ (
James Scott), on the other hand, tried to win John's trust as he wants to work for him.

The week kicks off with Marlena as she tells Roman (
Josh Taylor) that she found a way to get John's memory back. Meanwhile, Lucas (Josh Taylor) gets a visit from Chloe (
Nadia Bjorlin). Feeling awful that he is now in maximum prison, she apologizes to Lucas. Ava (Tamara Braun) and John, on the other hand, meet in the rooftop at Steve and Kayla's building and make love. However, he refuses to let her movie in.
Tuesday finds Caroline (
Peggy McCay) wondering to Bo (
Peter Reckell) if there is something going on between him and Victor (
John Aniston), while Philip (
Jay Kenneth Johnson) admits to Kate (
Lauren Koslow) that Bo stole police evidence and is protecting him.
The drama continues the rest of the week as Philip receives an anonymous letter from someone that claims to know what he's done. Daniel Jonas (Shawn Christian) finally decides to stay in Salem and sublets an apartment.
Later, Yvonne Li returns, while Ava's bodyguard aims to shoot at Morgan (Kristen Renton) but Philip dives into the line of fire. The question is: Does he get shot?

Sami tells EJ that she won't spend one more night at the mansion with him, which prompts EJ to present Sami with a court order refusing to allow her to take Johnny from the mansion. Later, EJ declares that he'll find someone else to share his life with and be a mother to Johnny. Sami gets even more devastated as she finds out that Chloe and Lucas had sex, and that Lucas is going to maximum security.
Meanwhile, Victor's condition worsens. He experiences a massive cerebral hemorrhage and asks Bo to take care of Philip, who tells Victor that he needs him to survive. Chelsea questions Kate why she refused to let Daniel operate on her, while Daniel and Kate agree that Chelsea can never learn of their affair.

Days of our Lives center on Ava (Tamara Braun) as she confides in Nicole (Arianne Zuker) that she and John are getting closer but Marlena is in the way, Marlena who tries her best to get Rolf (William Utay) to repair the damaged disc, and Judge Karen Fitzpatrick who arrives in Salem.
