Monday on Days of Our Lives, Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) loads the disk containing John's memories onto his computer only to discover that it's been encrypted.  Meanwhile, Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) has just returned from Switzerland.  She tells Philip about Brady asking for a divorce and then goes on to kiss him.  Elsewhere, Chelsea (Rachel Melvin) tells Daniel (Shawn Christian) that she knows the story of his wife.  She calls him a coward and then pulls him into another kiss.  In other kissing developments, Sami (Alison Sweeney) releases EJ (James Scott) from their own lip lock and then dashes off into the pub.  She tells Caroline (Peggy McCay) with great urgency that she needs to speak to Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) immediately.  Finally, EJ thanks Nicole (Arianne Zucker) for helping make Sami jealous.

On Tuesday, Kayla's (Mary Beth Evans) doctor imposes bed rest for the remainder of her pregnancy.  Elsewhere, Steve (Stephen Nichols) meets with EJ; Ava (Tamara Braun) wants to know why Dr. Neusbaum would medicate her, Nick (Blake Berris) faces off with Max (Darin Brooks) and Sami asks her dad to help her so she could see Lucas in prison.

Wednesday on Days of Our Lives finds Nicole lashing out at Philip for going after a married woman like Chloe.  In other developments, Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Bo (Peter Reckell) foil the hit on Steve even as Ava is just finding out about the contract and the fact that her father was the one who ordered it.  Martino (Joe Penny) is subsequently apprehended for the attempt on Steve's life, along with two other counts of murder.  This day also marks The Tonight Show's Ross Matthews guest appearance on the soap, as Chris, a gym club patron who becomes Sami's new friend and agrees to spy on EJ and Nicole in the sauna.

On Thursday, Days of Our Lives bids farewell to guest star Joe Penny when Bo shoots and kills his character.  Back at the gym, EJ and Nicole get hot and heavy in the sauna but EJ puts a stop to things and tells her he's in love with Sami.  Elsewhere, Max apologizes to Stephanie (Shelley Hennig) for his lack of faith in her.  Finally, Steve and Kayla are concerned about their coming baby.

Friday finds Kayla going into premature labor and giving birth to a baby boy who is not breathing.  Steve and Stephanie ask everyone to pray for the baby.  Meanwhile, EJ's plea for Lucas' release is denied.  Elsewhere, Victor (John Aniston) confronts Chloe about her being back at the mansion.  In other developments, Victor appoints Philip in charge of the Kiriakis business after learning that he is in possession of John's memory disk.  Finally, we close out the week with Lucas getting in touch with Sami.
