Days of our Lives: June 3 Live Thoughts
Days of our Lives: June 3 Live Thoughts
It's morning on Days of our Lives.  Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) is on the phone with Uncle Mickey, inquiring on whether he can move his house arrest somewhere else.  Sami (Alison Sweeney) doesn't want him to leave, but Lucas can't stand to look at her, since she slept with EJ.  She asks for his forgiveness.  Then, Sami asks John (Drake Hogestyn) why Marlena's portrait was replaced.  She also tells him that she knows why Marlena left.

Bo (Peter Reckell), Hope (Kristian Alfonso), Chelsea (Rachel Melvin) and Max (Darin Brooks) gather at the pub to give today's PSA about global warming and energy conservation.  Days of our Lives is really getting on its eco-friendly soapbox these days.  A terribly hungover EJ (James Scott) staggers into the pub and asks Caroline (Peggy McCay) for some black coffee.  Nicole shows up too and offers to make her special hangover cure for EJ.  Nicole flirts, telling him that he was pretty fun last night.  She tells him that his secrets are safe with her.

At Chez Rouge, Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) greets Yvonne, whom he flew in on the Titan jet from the Pacific Rim.  Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) jealously sees them eating breakfast together.  She walks over and introduces herself, but then leaves to go meet her own mysterious male friend.  Actually, it's her real estate agent, Arthur Perkins.  Philip protests, saying that she is always welcome at the Kiriakis mansion.  Philip goes back to his own meeting with Yvonne.  He gives her the encrypted disk and tells her to crack it.

Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) thinks sadly about her baby.  Stephanie (Shelley Hennig) finds her out in the living room and comforts her.  Steve (Stephen Nichols) comes home bearing breakfast.  The phone rings, and Steve finds out that their baby boy has taken a turn for the worse.

At the pub, Bo gives Caroline and Max a list of energy conservation tactics.  Chelsea says they have a problem.  The new energy-efficient coolers aren't big enough to hold everything.  She wheels out a keg that couldn't fit.  Turns out, it was the last keg of green beer that Grandpa Shawn made, intending to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.  Caroline gets a little misty-eyed, and then decides that it's a sign that Shawn approves of the greenification of the Brady Pub.  She decides to tap the keg.  Isn't it like nine in the morning?  I guess they really are Irish.  Unfortunately, Kayla and Stephanie simultaneously call Hope and Max, respectively, to let them know about Joey's worsening condition.  Kayla instructs them not to visit, but Max goes down there anyway.

Down at the hospital, the doctor fills Steve and Stephanie about Joey's condition.  It is not looking good.  Max shows up and gives Stephanie a hug.  They go to the hospital chapel to say a prayer, while Steve and Kayla pray above the baby's bed.  Chelsea has also gone to the hospital and watches Steve and Kayla through the window.  In Joey's room, the monitors start beeping, indicating that his heartrate and blood pressure are going up, which shows that he is responding to his medication.

Sami tells John that Marlena had to leave Salem because Eric (Sami's twin brother) was in a car accident, and she wanted to be with him.  He has some cracked ribs and a sprained ankle, but he'll be better soon.  John still thinks that she left because of John's alleged involvement with drug trafficking.  Then, Kate (Lauren Koslow) walks into the DiMera mansion.  Kate wants to have Lucas' house arrest transferred somewhere else, but Sami wants him to stay there with her.  She explains to Kate that her marriage to EJ has been annulled.  Also, am I the only one who gets annoyed when Lucas complains about having to be under house arrest?  He is a CONVICT, for crying out loud.  He would have had to spend all this time and more in the state penitentiary!  It's not like they released him.  He is still a prisoner!  Stop complaining!  Kate doesn't hold back her vitriol against Sami, but Lucas steps in to defend her.  EJ walks in and tells her that they are still married.  He says that the judge didn't approve the annulment because they share a child together.  (This is a complete lie, which we found out on yesterday's Days of our Lives.)  Kate takes this news as a sign that Lucas and Sami aren't meant to be together.  Lucas tells Sami that if she still wants him, she'll have to get a quickie divorce.  Nicole calls EJ on his cell and asks how his plan is going.  He doesn't remember telling her about it because he was too drunk last night, and he's surprised that she knows about his plan.  He hangs up on her, and then tells Lucas to get away from his wife.

John runs into Nicole at the pub and asks her if she's seen Philip.  She replies that she saw him in bed with Chloe, which John finds interesting.  Hope confronts John and asks him to prove that he wasn't involved with the drugs.  John leaves and calls Philip and asks to meet him.  He calls someone for back up before going to meet him.  He also blows off Chloe to make his meeting, so she decides to follow him.  Nicole also decides to tail John.

Next on Days of our Lives: Max gets mad, Daniel gets honest, John wants to get even.
