Days of our Lives: June 17 Live Thoughts
Days of our Lives: June 17 Live Thoughts
Days of our Lives begins with the conversation between Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) and Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin).  Lucas has finally admitted that he broke his house arrest and went down to the pier for a little while.  Chloe is grateful that Lucas reached out to her as a friend when everyone else in Salem has turned their back on her, so she promises to keep his secret.

Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Bo (Peter Reckell) go to the pub for some refreshments after a long day of crime fighting.  John Black (Drake Hogestyn) asks them why they haven't arrested Philip yet for burning down the warehouse.

Steve (Stephen Nichols) advises Stephanie (Shelley Hennig) that maybe she should stay away from Max for a little while, until he calms down a bit.  Speaking of Max, he has barged into Dean Robbins' hotel room and trashed the place.  Dean Robbins is just out in the hallway with Nicole.

John accuses Bo of giving preferential treatment of Philip due to their half-brotherhood, but Bo says that he has no hard evidence on Philip or Paul Hollingsworth.  John is disgusted with them and says that he'll look for the proof himself.

Nick (Blake Berris) tries calling Max, but gets no answer.

Stephanie is hurt that her dad would suggest that she should give up on Max.  Stephanie is unhappy that Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) would tell Steve everything.  Steve lays down the law and tells her that she's losing perspective.  Stephanie gets lippy at her dad, but then apologizes.  She still stands firm that he can't tell her what to do.

Dean Robbins smarmily wants to get Nicole liquored up and opens the door to find the huge mess.  He calls the hotel security and the police, while Nicole surreptitiously escapes from his clutches.  Max (Darin Brooks) is still hiding out in the bedroom.  The dean hears a noise in there, but when he opens the door, Max is gone and the window is open.

Chloe promises that she won't tell anyone about Lucas' temporary escape, but she warns him not to try that stunt again.  He half-heartedly promises, and also tells her about the ultimatum that he gave Sami on yesterday's Days of our Lives, i.e., either Sami moves out or EJ does.  Now, it's Chloe's turn to complain.  She tells him all about her suspicions about Philip, but John comes in and complains even more about Philip.  As soon as he gets a moment alone, he calls Ava to take her up on her offer for help in the Kiriakis situation.  She comes over right away and offers her mafiosa expertise.  She calls Angelo and Eddie to pick up Paul Hollingsworth and bring him to the DiMera mansion, no questions asked.  Ava asks John if Philip struck the first blow in their dock war, but John says that it wasn't exactly like that.  Ava promises that her boys will make Paul squeal like a pig.  She realizes that she just sounded exactly like her father and stops herself.  John thinks that maybe they should keep their distance from each other, just like Martino Vitali and Stefano DiMera avoided each other, but Ava wants to combine forces.

Angelo and Eddie drag Paul over to the mansion.  John tells Paul to start talking, threatening to unleash Angelo and Eddie's fury.  Angelo asks him if he started the fire and he has five seconds to tell them.  Paul says he won't admit to something he didn't do, so Angelo pulls out a gun.  Um, is it wise to shoot him in the middle of the living room?  John stops Angelo and instructs him to throw him out on the street, to give him a chance to think about how easy he got off.  Lucas comes downstairs and recognizes Paul from the pier.

Do Bo and Hope do no work at all??  They are still drinking coffee at the pub, discussing John and Philip.
Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) comes down to the pub so that these two stalwart members of the Salem PD can ask him questions.  Philip is a little too defensive, if you ask me.  But Bo has to go and take care of the breaking and entering at the Salem Inn.  Bo asks him if he has any enemies.

Nick asks Hope at the pub if she has seen Max, since he can't seem to find him.  Stephanie shows up at the pub too, and nobody has seen him.  Finally, Max himself shows up, all casual-like, and Stephanie is pissed off that he would disappear like that.  Bo comes back to the pub and tells everyone that Trent Robbins was the one who reported the breaking and entering.  Nick lies that he doesn't know anyone who would have a grudge against the dean.

Nicole runs over to the Kiriakis mansion, frantically looking for Victor.  She looks frazzled and panicky.  She says she doesn't want any more money from Victor; she needs a favor and is even willing to knock a little off the divorce settlement.  She finally tells Philip that what she needs is protection from someone from her past.  Philip offers her protection, but she's not comfortable with that.  She just leaves, and runs into Chloe.  Philip gets a call from an informant who tells him that a couple of Vitali henchmen picked up Paul and brought him to John's.  He gets off the phone and starts kissing Chloe.

Robbins calls Nicole and says threateningly that he wants to see her again.

Next on Days of our Lives: Max yells at Stephanie, Ava and John drink together, Hope tells Marlena to help John.
