Days of our Lives: July 11 Live Thoughts
Days of our Lives: July 11 Live Thoughts
Today on Days of our Lives, Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) is still at the police station, seething after finding out that Lucas slept with Chloe.  Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Bo (Peter Reckell) question him about Lucas.  Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) runs into Kate (Lauren Koslow), who tells her to stay away from Philip.  Chloe agrees, telling her that she and Philip are already history.

Chelsea (Rachel Melvin) is staring her first day as an occupational therapist-in-training at the  Salem University Hospital, a gig that Daniel helped her procure.  She's really excited about it and gushes to Daniel.

Meanwhile, at the pub, Victor (John Aniston) who collapsed at the end of yesterday's Days of our Lives, is still completely passed out.

Chloe bitches to Kate that Philip hurt her too, and then looks through the window of the pub that Victor is unconscious.  He still has a pulse, but he's unresponsive.  Morgan calls Philip to let him know what's going on with Victor.  Philip and Bo head immediately over to the hospital.  Max (Darin Brooks) offers to help out at the pub, but Caroline (Peggy McCay) orders him to take time off and find his answers.  Stephanie (Shelley Hennig) offers again to help Max find his sister, but he insists that he doesn't want to find her.

At the hospital, Daniel and Chelsea are about to get off of work and grab a bite to eat when a hospital employee tells Daniel that Victor Kiriakis had a possible stroke or heart attack, and the family has asked that Daniel be notified.  The employee talks about Victor like she's never heard of him, even though he's like one of the most powerful men in Salem.  Daniel orders the staff to get a room ready for victor.  Naturally, Chelsea jumps to conclusions and fears the worst.

Victor is taken to the hospital, and Daniel notes that he is weak on his left side.  Victor tries to speak, but can't.  All signs indicate a stroke.  The family worries in the waiting room, and Philip also gives Kate the bad news that Lucas is back in prison, how he took off his ankle monitor to go see Chloe.  Kate isn't pleased to hear about this new coupling.  Stephanie offers to stay at the hospital to offer support for Chelsea, but Caroline thinks that Stephanie should be with Max instead because she thinks he's up to something.

Indeed he is.  At the pub, Max packs before heading out to the airport to fly to Europe.  He tells Pete about it, but swears him to secrecy.  Before leaving, he writes a letter to his mom and Stephanie.

Daniel informs Kate and Caroline that Victor has indeed had another stroke, but they won't know how bad it is until they get some tests back.  They've given him some drugs that will help.  He has asked to see both of them (the drugs have brought back some of his ability to speak).  They go in to see him, and he tells them how proud he is of their sons.  Afterwards, Victor asks to speak to Philip and Bo, and Kate tells Daniel that she's glad Chelsea has him to lean on during this difficult time.  She also says that Chelsea can never find out about what happened between her and Daniel.  Dun, dun, DUN!  (Chelsea overhears this, naturally.)

Stephanie heads down to the pub and finds that Max has already gone.  Pete gives her the letter.

Down at the police station, Hope tries one more time to get answers out of Lucas (Bryan Dattilo).  He is determined to find another way out of prison, though, because he doesn't want to lose his daughter from his life.

Next on Days of our Lives: Sami refuses to sleep under the same roof as EJ another night, Chelsea confronts Kate about Daniel, Philip pleads Victor to
