Days of our Lives: February 4 Live Thoughts
Days of our Lives: February 4 Live Thoughts
Days of our Lives begins with EJ (James Scott) tending to the twins in the secret hideaway,  He has called Lexie (Renee Jones) over urgently because baby Ali is sick with a high fever.  Meanwhile, Sami (Alison Sweeney) has gone to visit Lucas' (Bryan Dattilo) mustache, who is peeved that she didn't bring Ali.

In New Ross, Oireland, Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) worries about Brady now that she knows that Colleen couldn't save him in time.  She asks Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) whether he is serious about the truce he made with Shawn (Brandon Beemer).  Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) have brought Grandpa Shawn to New Ross.  He is still unaware that his sister Colleen is still alive.  Elsewhere in the B&B, John (Drake Hogestyn) readies himself for the day, with a knife squirreled away in his sock, but Marlena (Deidre Hall) catches him before he sneaks out.

Lexie tells EJ that Ali has croup and to help her, he just needs to get moisture into her lungs.  He is relieved to hear that she'll be fine, and confesses to Lexie how much he has begun to love the child.  Lexie warns him not to get too attached because he has no rights to her, especially since Sami still loves Lucas.  EJ gets really defensive.  He says that Sami trusts him enough to leave him alone with the kids, and he has to prove to her that he's worthy of her trust.  Lexie gets a call about some worrisome test results from the hospital on someone who is currently out of the country, meaning it's gotta be Bo or Hope who got physicals last week.  Uh oh, something must be wrong with them.  Before she leaves to get back to work, EJ asks if they did the right thing about putting Stefano away.  Neither of them regrets what they did, even though it was the most difficult decision of their lives.

Lucas, meanwhile, seems to have last week's script in his hand.  He is still telling Sami that there is no way he is getting out of prison because he confessed to the cops that he shot EJ.  He explains that, depending on the judge, he'll get 10 to 20 years in the slammer.  He doesn't want to fight with her right now; he asked her to come here so he could say good-bye to her.  She promises that he is her one and only love and she'll never love anyone the way that she loves him.  I'd say that leaves a big Days of our Lives-sized loophole for her.

In Oireland, Kayla and Steve tell Gramps that they'll show him his big surprise but only after he's napped for at least an hour.  Bo (Peter Reckell), complaining about a backache, also complains to Hope (Kristian Alfonso) about the way Colleen chose to deal with her doomed affair with Santo all those years ago.  John tells Marlena that he's going downstairs for breakfast, but she's already ordered up room service.  She doesn't trust him and won't let him out of her sight, but he is still hellbent on fulfilling his mission.

Chloe doesn't believe Philip when he says that he's not after Belle (Martha Madison) anymore.  Philip tries to invite himself to hang out with Belle and Shawn, who are momentarily re-united after finding Claire, but gets shut down by Shawn.

Finally, it's time for Gramps to meet his long-lost sister.  Colleen gathers everyone to her room.  She and Gramps break down in sobs and exceptionally bad Oirish accents upon seeing each other.  Aww, it's kind of heartwarming.  Colleen asks him to forgive her for deceiving him all these years, and he already has.  John rolls his eyes.  Bo is still angry at Colleen for making his father feel responsible for her death for nearly a half a century.  Colleen explains that everything she did was for the sake of protecting the Bradys and those close to the Bradys.  She also kind of sounds like a leprechaun who is only after me lucky charms.  Colleen wants to rest and asks everyone to leave, but John asks if he can have a moment alone with her.  Marlena doesn't trust him alone with anyone, and with good reason.  As soon as John is alone with Colleen, he pulls his knife on her to kill her.

Kayla gets rid of Hope so that she can tell some bad news to Bo.  I guess he's the one who is sick.  Meanwhile, back in Salem, Lexie finds out that Kayla is preggers.

Next on Days of our Lives: Crawford Decker is still looking for someone to blame. Colleen wants one last word before she dies.
