Victor Kiriakis is played by
John Aniston on the NBC soap Days of our Lives. Victor first came to Salem, the fictional Midwestern town, as an old friend of an influential clan, the Brady’s. Eventually, though, he was revealed to be involved in various criminal activities, from illegal drugs to prostitution. He turned out to be a full-pledged mobster, his unlawful ways dating back to his days in Greece, his home country. He even had close connections with Salem’s very own organized crime kingpin Stefano DiMera.
Apparently tired of his evil ways, Victor semi-retired after a while but still engaged in some business, occasionally using his criminal connections to further his cause. His reputation in the Salem underworld was so fierce that no gang dared touch his son, even after he became buried in debt after a gambling spree. Victor reverted to his old ways and disowned his son, Bo, and grandson, Shawn.
After being thought to have died several times, Victor turned up alive on an island called Melaswen. He then made it back to Salem alive and well.
Later on, Victor would prove to be a responsible father to Bo Brady. He offered his support to Bo and Caroline after learning of Shawn's death. Victor also helped him when it was discovered that Bo's pancreas was breaking down and that it may be due to a genetic flaw. Victor offered to look for specialists who would be better suited to find a remedy for the condition. This would be quite successful as the causes of Bo’s illness had been isolated and, later on, a successful transplant surgery was conducted between Bo and his daughter Chelsea.
Also, a business war ensued between John and Kiriakis shipping, with Victor warning his competitor John that he was in for a fight. It was revealed that Kiriakis shipments were being delayed due to a bribed custom agent.
