Elvis Aron Banks Jr. or E.J. Wells is played by
James Scott on Days of Our Lives. E.J. was a charming man who felt deeply for Sami Brady however, a woman named Kate Roberts asked him to seduce Sami to keep her away from Lucas, Kate's son. While scheming this, Kate also became romantically involved with E.J. Kate and E.J. then formed a partnership to form Mythic Communications. Later on he made Sami his full partner and announced to Kate that he wanted Sami to bear his child. Around Christmas 2006, E.J. shot John Black on Stefano DiMera's orders and black ended up in a coma.
Upon his return to Salem, EJ learned that Sami was pregnant. He, of course, would turn out to be the father of Sami’s first child, despite her attempt to refute it via a fake ultrasound result. He is also determined to break away from the shadows of his father Stefano for the sake of his son by disowning him. After a series of events, E.J. feared that Stefano's wrath after turning him in to the police. He tried to convince Sami that they must leave town and go to a safer place, to which Sami agreed. Lucas then admitted that he was the one who shot EJ and he went to prison for it. Meanwhile, EJ confessed to Sami that his feelings for her are real, as the two were finally allowed to return to Salem. As this was happening, EJ’s feelings for Sami and the twins were growing.
Then EJ, Sami, and the twins finally move in with John at the DiMera mansion to help E.J. with his immigration problems. Despite Sami’s prodding, he later got involved with Nicole, Salem’s “number one troublemaker” who wanted him to represent her when she found out that he was a lawyer.
