Dawson's Creek star James Van Der Beek, who recently played the director of Lucas' (Chad Michael Murray) movie on One Tree Hill, reportedly split up with his wife, Heather McComb. The two of them have been married for nearly six years, and finally decided that things were over between them.
According to sources, the couple got the separation about two months ago. However, they didn't immediately reveal it to the press. Still, James Van Der Beek and Heather McComb continue to be amiable towards each other.
Van Der Beek's representative told
Us Weekly about the current status of the actors relationship with McComb: "They remain good friends." Despite that, reasons for their separation have not been revealed.
Heather McComb was married to
Dawson's Creek star James Van Der Beek in July of 2003. They were wed in Malibu, two months after the groom finished filming his six seasons of the teen drama. Both of them are followers of Kabbalah, and have been regularly attending the Kabbalah Centre. Soon, they went on to establish themselves in the industry, gaining more and more roles as time passed.
The 32-year-old stars might not have shared their projects with one another, but they were each successful on their own. James Van Der Beek, while best known for playing the title character on
Dawson's Creek, has been guest-starring on numerous other shows. He's been seen on
Criminal Minds and even on an episode of ABC's
Ugly Betty. In 2008, he played the role of Simon on CBS'
How I Met Your Mother. Van Der Beek then followed it up with
One Tree Hill and
Medium in 2009.
Meanwhile, his wife is popular for her role of Maggie in
Party of Five. Afterwards, Heather McComb was cast in two shows from the
CSI franchise and was later seen in
Without a Trace. Her most recent portrayal is that of Rita Morgan on the hit series Prison Break.
