Watch out Richards sisters: it looks like there's a new star rising from
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. It seems that Lisa Vanderpump has officially reached "celebrity" status when she was announced to be a part of the cast for the upcoming season of
Dancing With the Stars.
DWTS Season 16 Cast Announced: Wynonna Judd, Kellie Pickler & More >>>While Lisa's co-stars Kim and Kyle Richards got to participate in a
lesser-known reality show, and
Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes and
Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice both starred on
The Celebrity Apprentice, Lisa has landed the gig in the mother of the celebrity competition shows.
While Lisa may seem like the conservative British type, it's clear she's got a few moves up her sleeve. And she already knows her way around a stripper pole, so that might come in handy. Not to mention she's a fan of all things pink and girly, so the sparkly leotards shouldn't be a problem.
"Okay sad for
Vanderpump Rules to end, next week is the reunion,"
Lisa tweeted about her Bravo spin-off. "As they say... when one door closes another one opens! #DWTS."
Lisa will be paired up with a new-to-
DWTS pro dancer
Gleb Savchenko. Gleb was born in Russia and has been successful in dance competitions all over the world before becoming a pro on
DWTS Australia.
RHOBH Recap: Interventions, Confrontations and Libations >>>Some of Lisa's more famous co-stars on the upcoming season include comedians Andy Dick and D.L. Hughley, country singers Kellie Pickler and Wynonna Judd and Olympians Aly Raisman and Dorothy Hamill.
Unfortunately, Giggy the Pom will probably have to watch from the sidelines with her husband, Ken. And it wouldn't be surprising if any of her co-stars, especially her BFF Brandi Glanville, were to pop up in the crowd as well.
