Shanna Moakler Biography:

Born on March 28, 1975 in Providence, Rhode Island, Shanna Lynn Moakler was a student at Barrington High School and later on became her state's representative in the 1992 Miss USA beauty pageant. Her first attempt for the crown was unsuccessful, as she was only able to make it to the semifinals. When she tried her luck again, this time for the 1995 Miss USA beauty pageant, she entered as a representative of New York City, and emerged as the first runner-up. She lost to Miss Texas Chelsi Smith, but ended up receiving the crown anyway when Smith won the Miss Universe pageant. She became Playboy's Playmate of the Month in December 2001, and has been involved with many A-list celebrities like boxer Oscar de la Hoya, with whom she had a daughter. Moakler has also appeared in several televisions shows like Pacific Blue and CSI, and in the movies The Wedding Singer and Big Momma's House 2. She, together with her then husband Travis Barker, also appeared on the MTV reality series, Meet the Barkers.

In 2006, Moakler joined the third season of the highly-watched reality series, Dancing with the Stars. She was paired with dancer Jesse deSoto, but became the second couple to be eliminated from the show when Moakler's performance failed to captivate and excite the judges and the audience.
