Edyta Sliwinska Biography:

Polish-born Edyta Sliwinska first started taking dance lessons when she was eleven years old. Music is what motivated Sliwinska to pursue dancing, and pursue it, she has. She has been dancing with her partner and soon-to-be husband, Alec Mazo, in numerous competitions across the nation. Her favorite dance is the Rumba. Among the many competitions where she came out the winner are the Emerald Ball Latin Championships, the 2001 International Grand Ball and the 2001 Holiday Ball.

Sliwinska has been a common face on the Dancing with the Stars dance floor, as she has been performing on the show since it began airing in 2004. During the first season, she was paired with boxer Evander Holyfield, and ultimately placed fifth. For the second season, she danced with actor George Hamilton, but still came out in fifth place. She had better luck in season 3 with actor Joey Lawrence, as they were able to finish third. In 2007, she competed against her fiancé, Alec Mazo, on the fourth season and fifth seasons of Dancing with the Stars. For the fourth season, she was paired with actor John Ratzenberger, and the duo finished sixth. For the fifth season, Sliwinska was partnered with soap star Cameron Mathison; they finished fifth. On season 6, Sliwinska is paired with NFL star Jason Taylor.
