Season Finale Fallout Season Finale Recap Season Finale Live Thoughts Cameron Mathison appeared as a contestant in the fifth season of the ABC network’s celebrity reality TV dance competition series Dancing with the Stars. He and his professional partner Edyta Sliwinska finished fifth overall. In the sixth week of competition, they were in the bottom two, but Sabrina Bryan and Mark Ballas were eliminated instead.
Cameron is a Canadian television actor who was born on August 25, 1969 in Sarnia, Ontario. When he was young, he was diagnosed with Perthes disease, and spent almost half a decade wearing braces on his legs. Thanks to the immediate and pre-emptive early treatment, he managed to avoid suffering from the arthritis typically associated with the disease. Mathison studied at Thornlea Secondary School in Thornhill, Ontario, and later on advanced to McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. He finished with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering by 1991.
The first feature film that Mathison appeared in was 54, and he also continued working on the big screen in Washed Up. He became well-known for playing Ryan Lavery on the long-running soap opera
All My Children , and won a Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Male Newcomer in 1999. He was also nominated several times for a Daytime Emmy Award for his work in television. Apart from acting, he also hosts the reality television series I Wanna Be a Soap Star. He is married to model Vanessa Arevalo, and with her has two children named Lucas and Leila.
